Application

For priming of absorbent substrates such as wood, gypsum, wallpaper, styrofoam, glass-fibre fabric and old dispersion coatings. Adhesion promoter for non-ferrous metals, glass, old coatings on acrylate and alkyd resin base, hard PVC and tiles (not in areas subject to splashing water).Not to be used outdoors on surfaces exposed to the weather such as pergolas, fences, benches etc. and, after drying, to be immediately reworked. Can also be used inside as colourless coating with Jansen’s patina finish, but by applying only a thin coating with the spray method.

Product properties

Water-based, low odour, with excellent insulating results on many critical substrates. Excellent adhesion also on difficult substrates. High covering power, high degree of whiteness. Insulates wood extractives of coniferous, leaf and tropical woods. Blocks bleeding of nicotine residue, wax, tar, smoke, carbon black and grease stains as well as dried water spots. Substrates should not be precleanded using alkaline media.

Dust-dry: ca. 30 minutes; touch-dry: ca. 90 minutes; Recoatable after ca. 90 minutes with dispersion paints, after 2 – 3 hours with alkyd resin and acrylic paints.

Approx. 10 – 12 m²/l per coat

Type of application

Brush: for painting use brush with synthetic bristles. Roller: for rolling use short-pile mohair roller. Spray: dilute with max. 10 % water.
