Industrial clerks guide the company’s business activities. In the field of materials management, they compare quotations, negotiate with suppliers and handle acceptance and storage of materials. Within production administration, they will plan, control and monitor the production of goods or services and prepare order shipment documentation. Their area of responsibility within Sales will include the development of pricing and price lists and conducting sales negotiations with customers. They will also develop targeted marketing strategies. Industrial clerks in accounting or financial management, will process, post and check all business processes. In human resource management, they will determine the need for personnel, assist in recruitment and selection and plan the placement of staff.
